About Me:

I’m 25 years old from Palos Verdes, California. I fell in love with basketball at the age of 5 and it’s been propelling me ever since.

My 4 year varsity basketball career at Bishop Montgomery High School included 4 CIF playoff appearances as well as being named to the All-Area, All-CIF, and All-State team multiple times. My senior year I received Athlete of the Year and was also Valedictorian of my school.

I accepted a full-ride basketball scholarship to Northwestern University. During my two years there I was named to the Big Ten All Academic Team, but following my sophomore season I transferred to Saint Mary’s College of California.

Following my redshirt year, I was named to the All-WCC honorable mention team and also the All-Academic team for my remaining two years of eligibility. I graduated in 2016 cum laude with a degree in Psychology and the following year, received my Master’s in Kinesiology.

Since graduation I’ve played professionally in Ireland and France, and am now in the midst of my 3rd season. I enjoy coaching youth teams and working camps and clinics during my off time. Building relationships with up and coming athletes and helping with their journey is a passion of mine.

Outside of basketball, I love reading, hiking, and yoga. My favorite place is the beach. I seek to inspire and be of service to the next generation of female athletes.

I’ve found training my mind to be incredibly helpful in my development on and off the court.

How Change Has Helped My Career

In high school, I had my sights set on attending a top Division I university with a strong basketball program and academics. I was on my way, getting recruited by many top colleges, when midway through my junior season I tore my ACL. It was devastating not to be able to finish the year with my high school team or compete in the AAU circuit the summer going into my senior year (the most crucial for recruiting).

This delayed my recruiting process quite significantly. Schools wanted to wait to see how I would come back, but then signed players in my position before I did. With my scholarship aspirations in limbo, I was determined to have a great senior year and prove all the schools that doubted me wrong.

I put everything I had into my rehab and came back stronger than ever. Averaging 18.8 points and 10.3 rebounds, the best of my high school career. This earned me a scholarship to Northwestern University, which on paper had everything I could want in a school.

The road from there has not been as straight as I planned. I transferred after two years to Saint Mary’s College in California and since then have played professionally in Ireland and France. My experiences at every level have taught me that things often don’t go as you plan, but you just have to ride the wave. With perseverance and focus you’ll eventually end up where you wanted to be all along, or perhaps in an even better place.
