About Me:
I am from Los Angeles, California (West Hills to be exact). I played softball for 18 years and owe my life to the sport. I grew up watching my older sister play softball and I wanted nothing more than to be like her and be on the field.
When I first started pitching at the age of 7, the strike zone was a foreign concept and I was never remotely close. Yet, when my family would ask how I did I would confidently say, “I did great!” I always remembered those moments and carried that passion I had for the game throughout my career and life.
My career consisted of being a 4 year varsity starter in high school, and winning the LA City Championship game my senior year in 2012. Receiving a scholarship to play Division 1 softball at Portland State University was a dream come true.
I loved being a part of the 2013 Big Sky championship team my freshman year. In the Portland State record book you will see my name under 12 different categories.
Off the field I made an impact by making the Dean’s List for 2 years while also receiving the Academic All-Big Sky Conference Honors twice.
Being a part of many softball programs and teams has shaped me into the confident, composed, and competitive person I am today. I am currently working on my Doctorate for Physical Therapy at the University of Utah.
Believe in Your Dream
My success did not come easy because as a 5’4 pitcher who consistently threw 57 mph, maybe hit 60 mph on a good day, coaches seemed to look the other way. With my passion for the game and my dream to not only become a division 1 athlete but to also earn a starting position I was determined and did not let opinions of others get in my way. I knew it only took one coach to give me a chance and I was ready on and off the field for when that opportunity would come my way.
Since the recruiting process was unfamiliar territory for me and my family, we hired a recruiting company to help guide us in the right direction. To make a long story short, the guy we were assigned to told me I would be a starter at the Junior College, NAIA or D3 maybe D2 level at best. D1 was never part of the conversation but it was my dream and I was not going to settle for anything less. (Not to discredit any of these levels of athletics because they are great programs and opportunities, but my dream was D1).
We decided to no longer continue with this recruiting company, but they ended up stealing our money and being a total scam. In the end, my Dad and I put in the work and did our own scouting of teams. I contacted coaches until they were sick of hearing from me, and it was all worth it. The quote I lived by was, “She believed she could, so SHE DID.”
I beat the odds and I now can say I am a part of the 2%. Numbers are a funny thing because they can measure you, time you, and analyze you all they want but what really matters is how you play the game. You cannot measure heart, passion, or determination. You cannot measure a dream. I am here to tell you I can help you make your dream become a reality and give you the guidance I was not provided from a paid agency.
