About Me:
I am 21 years old from Salt Lake City, Utah. Soccer has been my passion ever since I was six years old, starting at the rec level. My first practice changed my life, from that young age, all I cared about was running around outside and being a part of a close-knit team.
After one season in Rec, I transitioned to the club level and consistently doubled rostered on two top-level teams, in my age group and one above. I also was a member of the Utah Olympic Development team for two consecutive years when I was 16 and 17. During this time, I played every position my coaches asked of me, from center defender to center forward. Being a versatile player has been key to my success on a variety of teams. I also played two years varsity in high school, before tearing my ACL the first game of my senior year.
Following my senior year, I signed to play division 3 soccer at Webster University in St. Louis. I played all four years from 2016-2019, being a starter and playing in every game my junior and senior year, as well as leading the team as captain in my final year. In my junior year, I landed the 3rd all-conference team in the SLIAC, with 10 goals and 7 assists. In my senior year, I landed 2nd team all-conference with 13 goals and 11 assists, with the help of my first 2 career hat tricks. I was also awarded player of the week in the conference for 2 weeks in a row.
During my time at Webster, I helped the team to win the conference 3 times, along with making 3 NCAA tournament appearances. I graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences in 2020.
In my final semester, I studied abroad in the Netherlands and played on a semiprofessional team there, helping the team to win the conference championship. Every summer since 2016, I also play on a top-level WPSL team, The Utah Red Devils.
Outside of soccer, I love to be outdoors, camping, and hiking. I also love to paint and write short stories in my free time, as well. I want to share my love for soccer with young athletes and help them achieve the highest level possible and let them know that literally anything is possible with dedication and fiery passion.
Passion & Perseverance: The Road to Success
My road to success was paved with difficult and heartbreaking times. It started when I was a little girl getting cut from my team when I was nine years old. I didn't let that stop me and worked relentlessly to become the best on my team every year until I was a member of the highest teams in my age group as well as the older group. I was unstoppable my Junior year of high school, getting scouted by top-level D1 schools and attending endless college recruiting camps. I was verbally committed to a D1 school by the end of that year. Shortly after, I tragically tore my ACL. That ended my D1 scholarship offer, and I had to start the recruitment process over. I was heartbroken but made the best of the opportunity.
My coaches at the time didn't give up on me and encouraged me to look at programs I would not have considered before. It ended up being the best advice I could have received at the time. After committing to my D3 school, I quickly learned that high-quality competition could be found at all levels. I was blessed with a school that also put my academics first and allowed me to pursue a challenging and time-consuming degree I would have otherwise never considered. My time at a Division 3 school has helped me achieve my dreams to play at the next level, semi-pro abroad, as well as playing semi-pro in the states every summer.
My soccer career to this point has taught me to believe and push myself to achieve things physically and academically I have always dreamed of. I have also learned that being mentally invested can take your game to the next level, no matter the circumstances. There is a place for every athlete to pursue their dreams and become the best version of themselves. If you have an open and willing mind backed by passion, you will get there.
